IPL 2024: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided that the official window of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will open from March 22 to the end of May. Also, finalization of exact dates is pending due to the general elections to be held in the country next summer, the schedule of which depends on the election schedule.

IPL 2024: IPL auction will be held in Dubai on December 19:-

Based on this information given to the franchises ahead of the IPL auction in Dubai on December 19, the Australian, South African, Afghanistan, New Zealand and West Indies boards have made their players available on nominal or full terms. However, the boards of England, Ireland, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have given conditional approval.

Cricket Australia has set these conditions :-

First of all, talking about Australia, Cricket Australia has informed BCCI that except Hazlewood and the players who played in the Sheffield Shield final, the rest of the players will be fully available till the time of injury. Also, players will have the option to continue playing in the IPL instead of the Sheffield Shield final which will be held from March 21 to 25.

ECB said this :-

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has said that its players can participate in the league as long as they are not unfit or have no international matches to play. The availability of English players is subject to the ECB’s summer international schedule around the T20 World Cup, which has not been finalized yet. Also let us tell you that Rehan Ahmed has withdrawn his name from the auction.

Bangladesh Cricket Board and Cricket Ireland said this :-

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Cricket Ireland (CI) have made their players only partially available, but Mustafizur Rahman and Joshua Little have been given special permission. The Ireland fast bowler has been allowed to participate fully in the league while the BCB has said that Rahman can participate in the league from March 22 to May 11. Only three Bangladeshi players including Mustafizur will be included in the auction.

IPL 2024: Players are completely available to these countries :-

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), Cricket West Indies (CWI), Cricket South Africa (CSA), New Zealand Cricket (NZC) and Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) have informed BCCI that their players will be available for the entire duration of the IPL.

Sri Lanka has to play the second and last Test match against Bangladesh from March 30 to April 3, due to which questions are being raised on the availability of some Sri Lankan players. However, Mahesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Mathisha Pathirana and Dushmantha Chameera will be available for the entire duration of the IPL, as they do not feature in the Test format.
