According to The Indian Express, Kolkata Knight Riders have released bowler Shardul Thakur. Shardul Thakur’s last season was nothing special. Before playing for KKR, Shardul Thakur played for Chennai Super Kings from 2018 to 2021. In the 2023 season, Shardul Thakur scored 113 runs in 11 innings and could take only seven wickets. KKR bought Shardul Thakur for Rs 10.75 crore.

Delhi Capitals has decided to retain opening batsman Prithvi Shaw. However, Prithvi Shaw is currently recovering from a knee injury suffered during the County Championship with Northamptonshire. Shaw, who started his IPL career with Delhi, could score only 106 runs in eight matches for the franchise last season.
