IPL 2024: Former Indian cricket team opener Gautam Gambhir has resigned from the post of mentor of IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The former Indian batsman has returned to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team for the upcoming IPL 2024 season. Gautam Gambhir has joined the KKR team as a mentor.
Let us tell you that Gambhir had made KKR win the title of 2012 and 2014 in IPL as captain.
Gambhir gave information on social media platform :-
Giving this information on social media platform X, Gambhir wrote, “I am back, my number is now 23.” KKR has also confirmed this. Kolkata welcomed Gambhir, writing, “Welcome back home!”
Earlier, while announcing his resignation from Lucknow Supergiants, he had written, “I announce the end of my wonderful journey with Lucknow Supergiants. I am extremely thankful to all the players, coaches, support staff and everyone who has helped in this journey. Made memorable.”

Gautam Gambhir further said:-

After this, Gambhir gave information about joining Kolkata Knight Riders in another post made on X. In the photo posted in this post, he is seen wearing the number 23 jersey of Knight Riders. He wrote in the same post, “I am back. I am number 23. Ami KKR.”
Finally, let us tell you that Gambhir was associated with KKR from IPL 2011 to 2017 season. KKR achieved a lot of success during his tenure. Shahrukh Khan’s KKR team has qualified for the IPL playoffs five times so far.
