IPL Auction 2022: On the second day of the Indian Premier League auction. West Indies all-rounder Romero Shepherd bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 7.75 crore in the IPL many players showered with money on Sunday. England batsman Liam Livingstone roped in by Punjab Kings for Rs 11.50 million on the second day of the Indian Premier League auction on Sunday.

Mumbai Indians bought England pacer Jofra Archer for Rs 8 crore in the IPL auction, who will miss this season due to an injury. West Indies all-rounder Romero Shepherd bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 7.75 crore in the IPL auction.

Six crore rupees were also spent for WI fast bowler Odeon Smith

Punjab Kings also spent Rs 6 crore for West Indies fast bowler Odeon Smith. The franchise also made good bids for India’s second-rate left-arm bowlers Khaleel Ahmed and Chetan Sakaria. Khaleel sold for Rs 5 crore 25 lakh while Sakariya sold for Rs 4 crore 20 lakh.

Raj Angad Bawa, player of the match in the 2022 ICC Under-19 World Cup final, has bagged the jackpot by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 4 crore due to his ability to hit all-rounder Shivam Dubey for sixes, among other Indian players. The all-rounder bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 2 crore.

The highlight of the first season, however, was Livinstone, who received a contract worth more than $1 million. At one time five teams were bidding for him. Livingstone played for Rajasthan Royals last season and did not perform as expected on slow pitches. Although the players’ space in the franchise was vacant (minimum 18 players), there was an eagerness to add him to the team.

West Indies big hitter Rovman Powell has paid Rs 2.8 crore

Delhi Capitals has paid West Indies big hitter Rovman Powell Rs 2.8 crore. CSK bought New Zealand’s Devin Conway, while Mumbai Indians paid Rs 2.6 crore for Australian pacer Daniel Sams. Another India Under-19 star, Rajvardhan Hangargekar earned Rs 1.5 crore from CSK.
