IPL Auction: The latest edition of the Indian Premier League is on the way for the auction day. And today, in fact, is that day as it is time for the first day of the IPL 2022 auction.

This is going to be the last major auction of the tournament and all the 10 franchises, including Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, will be looking to settle on a combination for the next few years. A total of 590 players, 370 from India and 220 from overseas, will go under the hammer.

Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore have kept some players in attendance and are eyeing a few more.

This IPL Auction is Non-Refundable:-

Keep a close eye on the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Ishaan Kishan, David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan, and Shardul Thakur as they are expected to fetch the biggest amount. The carnival called IPL is starting today and that is why this IPL auction is non-refundable.

All eyes are on Shardul Thakur, Shreyas Iyer, and Ishaan Kishan, Indiaโ€™s youngsters in the form of Shreyas Iyer, Ishaan Kishan, and Shardul Thakur can collect the highest amount of all the players going to the auction.

Several reports claim that one of them is likely to take over as the costliest player ever bought in the IPL auction.

The 2022 IPL mega auction is going to be very important for teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Kolkata Knight Riders as they will be in a tight spot to sign a new captain.

The Former India Captain IPL 2022 in UAE:-

Royal Challengers Bangalore was led by Virat Kohli for the last 7 seasons. But last year the former India captain decided to step down after IPL 2022 in the UAE.

RCB retained Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammad Siraj before the auction, but did not release any of them as captains.

While Punjab Kings released KL Rahul this season as both sides failed to get on the same page. The flamboyant batsman will now lead the Lucknow Super Giants next season.

KKR, who finished runners-up in IPL 2021, decided to part ways with Eoin Morgan. After a stellar performance with the bat last season.

They have retained Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy, Venkatesh Iyer, and Sunil Narine. But neither of them has been seen as their next captain.
