IPL Auction 2022: Washington Sundar was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 8.75 crore, Vashi invited interest from GT, PBKS, LSG, and Hyderabad but was eventually drafted into the Orange Army.

Washington Sundar is a right-arm off-spinner who has the ability to bowl tight lines in the right areas and likes to open the bowling only for his team.
Even after proving his mettle with the Willows, his team can still lean on him as a lower-order batting option.
Ashwin’s Replacement:-
In 2017, Sundar was selected by Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) as the replacement for Ravichandran Ashwin. He made his Twenty20 debut for Rising Pune Supergiants in the 2017 Indian Premier League on 22 April.
Vashi earned the Man of the Match award in IPL 2017 Qualifier 1 between Mumbai Indians and RPS, in which he took 3 for 16.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore:-
In the 2018 IPL auction, Washington Sundar was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs. 3.2 crores despite being just 19 years old at that time.
Since then, he has grown strongly as a cricketer and it is no surprise that he earns a lot in the upcoming auctions.
