In the 24th match of IPL 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore faced Chennai Super Kings. Chennai won this thrilling match by a margin of eight runs. Many records were made and broken in this match, but something happened even before the start of the game, which made the match special for the viewers watching the match on TV.

RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bowl first. After the toss, the players of both the teams were getting ready to come on the field. Meanwhile, the former Indian cricketer, who was involved in the TV show, started doing lungi dance.

The video of this dance was shared by former Indian cricketer Subramaniam Badrinath from his Instagram account. Badrinath works as an expert during IPL telecast for Star Sports. He is accompanied by S Sreesanth, Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh. Jatin Sapru hosts the show.

Ahead of the RCB vs CSK match, all these former cricketers were seen in a jovial mood and showed off their dance moves in the studio during the live show, while Jatin Sapru also joined them in good spirits. Everyone did lungi dance before the match. Sharing the video, Badrinath wrote, “Lungi dance with some champs at Star Sports studio.”

Batting first in this Match, Chennai did not have a Good Start

Batting first in this match, Chennai did not have a good start. Opener Rituraj Gaikwad scored just three runs and went on to score 16 runs. From here Devon Conway and Ajinkya Rahane took the lead and both scored fast. Rahane was dismissed after scoring 37 runs in 20 balls. With the help of half-centuries from Conway (83) and Shivam Dubey (52), Chennai scored 226/6 in the entire over.

Chasing the target of 227 runs, RCB did not get off to a good start either. Kohli six and Mahipal Lomror returned to the pavilion without opening the account. After this, Faf Duplessis and Glenn Maxwell made their team return to the match by adding 126 runs in 61 balls. However, Plessis was dismissed for 62 and Maxwell for 76. In the end, Karthik scored 28 runs in 14 balls, but it was not enough for his team to win. In the end, RCB’s team could only score 218 runs losing eight wickets and lost the match.
