England’s experienced fast bowler James Anderson can achieve a big feat in the fifth and final Test match against India. James Anderson is the world’s most successful fast bowler in the Test format.

Just 15 wickets away from achieving 1000 international wickets :-

England’s experienced fast bowler James Anderson has taken 698 wickets in 186 Tests. If he manages to take two wickets in the last test, he will become the bowler who takes 700 wickets. He has taken 985 wickets in 399 matches. To achieve 1000 international wickets, he needs 15 more wickets.

Also, Anderson will become the first fast bowler to take 700 wickets in Test cricket. Before him, Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne had achieved this feat. Although both of them are spinners. Shane Warne has 708 wickets in his name, while Muralitharan has taken 800 wickets.

Fast bowler James Anderson did not play the first match in the ongoing Test series against India. He has played all three matches after this. He took 5 wickets in the second match. In the third match he could take only one wicket. Anderson took two wickets in the fourth match played in Ranchi.
