Jason Roy, franchise cricket: The report of England’s star opener Jason Roy playing in America’s Major Cricket League created a stir in the cricket world. Now Jason Roy has made it clear by tweeting that for him his country is first, everything else later. Jason Rai wrote that it is a matter of pride for him to play for the country. He also said that I hope he wants to play cricket for the country for the next few years.

Jason Roy had made up his mind to participate in America’s MLC :-

Please tell that Jason Roy had made up his mind to participate in the inaugural season of Major Cricket League of America. MLC will start from 13th July and will end on 30th July. Jason Roy is currently in talks with the England and Wales Cricket Board to release his contract.

Jason Roy clarified on social media :-

Roy wrote on his Twitter handle, “After a lot of speculation in the last 24 hours, I wanted to clarify that I am not ‘walking away from England’ nor will I ever be. It is a matter of pride for me to play for England. I hope to play for England for many more years, that is my priority.”

Jason Roy wants to play for the country :-

Roy further wrote, “I have had frank discussions with the ECB about participating in Major League Cricket. The ECB were happy with me playing in the competition. It is my responsibility as an England player to play as much competitive cricket as possible.” But my priority is England cricket. The ODI World Cup is coming soon. It is the biggest honor for me and for any player to play for my country.”
