Jofra Archer will not be seen in the T20 world cup this year, England gets a big setback

England has suffered another major setback from the T20 World Cup and Ashes series. England’s best fast bowler in white-ball cricket, Jofra Archer will not be able to play cricket this whole year due to injury. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed this after ascertaining its information on Thursday.

Archer has again broken his right elbow and it will take him time to recover from this injury, so he will not play cricket for this whole year. Archer has been battling a lot of trouble with his right elbow for quite some time, due to which he missed a few matches during the tour of South Africa in 2020 and India earlier this year and the entire IPL season.

The ECB said that “Jofra Archer had a re-scan of his injured right elbow from last week. The scans showed that his elbow was fractured again. With this in mind, he will be away from cricket for the rest of the year.” a statement. Sail and the current Test series against India, the T20 World Cup in Australia, and the Ashes series will also be ruled out.

Clearly, Archer had made a very good return to cricket for Sussex in the recent County Championship, but it was in this second innings that his elbow injury became serious again. For this reason, he did not bowl for the last two days of this match against Kent and was subsequently ruled out of the series against New Zealand due to domestic affairs.
