Not many days are left for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to begin and before that there is constant rhetoric between current and former players. Recently, former Australia wicketkeeper Ian Healy raised questions on the Indian pitches. He had said that India’s pitches are not right. Now former head coach of Team India John Wright has given him the answer. He has retaliated on this comment of Ian Healy.

Ian Healy took a jibe at India’s pitch curators, asking them to prepare better wickets for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He has predicted that if India prepares spin friendly wickets then the Indian team can win this Test series by 2-1.
John Wright Responds to Ian Healy
John Wright reacted to Ian Healy’s statement on social media. He said that each host nation prepares wickets in its own way. He tweeted saying,
Whichever country hosts, prepares pitches that are suitable for it. This is not a bad thing. This makes Test cricket even more exciting.

The Kangaroo team has to play the first Test match from February 9 but the team will not play a single practice match before that. Instead, the Australian team is practicing there by setting up a training camp in Alur. Some Australian veterans also reacted strongly to this, but veteran batsman Steve Smith justified the absence of practice matches. According to Smith, India prepares such pitches, which are completely different from match pitches. He said that last time we went we were given a green-top to practice and it didn’t make any sense.
