Bangladesh’s batting unit came up with a clinical effort as they posted 401 for six in reply to New Zealand’s 328, taking a 73-run lead with four wickets in hand.

“Tomorrow morning is very important. We have four wickets. Miraj and Yasir are there and we have a 73-run lead. If we get another 70-run lead it will be close to a 150-run lead and that’s it. By the time we will be in good shape,” Mahmood told reporters after the game.

“We want to survive and do well. Even if we can’t win, we want to draw in a Test match,” he said. “There are still 180 overs left and it will be difficult to score runs if we bowl well,” he said.
