Fortune Barishal made a late comeback but beat Khulna Tigers by 17 runs. However, Khulna was only 20 runs away after scoring 122 for 7 wickets. Left-arm fast bowler Mehdi Hasan Rana took three wickets in the 19th over. In which Mushfiqur Rahim was involved on the last ball of Rana. Sealing the victory, Rana finished with career-best figures of 4 for 17.

Mushfiqur and Yasir Ali put on 46 runs for the fifth wicket. Thisara Perera hit two sixes and a four in his first eight balls. Then out at deep cover, Jacob Lintot took a smart catch. Due to this Khulna made 108 runs for 6 wickets.

Barishal took the last five wickets of Khulna for 16 runs in 16 balls. Lintot took the wicket of Seekuge Prasanna before Rana was caught by Farhad Reza. Sharifullah takes a catch at deep midwicket.

Rana took four, Lintot and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman took two wickets each. Shafikul Islam and Shakib Al Hasan also took a wicket each.

Barishal kept the game exciting with a change in his batting order. Chris Gayle was sent for the first time in the tournament, who hit two sixes and six fours in his innings of 45 off 34 balls. But due to his dismissal in the 11th over, the team got aggressive.

Qamrul Islam Rabbi, Thisara Perera, and Farhad Reza of Khulna have taken two wickets each. While Mahedi Hasan remained the most economical of the three spinners.

Khulna missed both her openers, especially Andre Fletcher scoring just four runs. Soumya Sarkar too was dismissed for a golden duck to follow his previous innings. In which he scored just one run. Shakib continued the struggle with the bat for Barishal, scoring just 9 runs. He scored just 46 runs in four innings.
