Shai Hope will lead the West Indies ODI team in Pakistan, while Nicholas Pooran will captain the T20I side after Kieron Pollard failed to recover in time for the limited-overs series. Pollard is battling a hamstring injury, which he picked up during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

Will Join T20I Squad in Place of Kieron Pollard

All-rounder Rovman Powell will replace Kieron Pollard in the T20I squad while Devon Thomas named in the ODI squad. West Indies will begin their tour with a T20I match on December 13 and will play two more matches in this format on December 14 and 16 respectively. All matches will be in Karachi along with the ODIs. Which are part of the ICC ODI Super League to be on 18, 20 and 22 December.

Jason Holder, Andre Russell, Evin Lewis and Shimron Hetmyer are not part of the tour. While the selectors have opted to include the inexperienced hands of Gudakesh Moti, Odeon Smith, Justin Greaves and Shamar Brooks. This will be the first time that Shai Hope. Will lead West Indies while Pooran is more experienced in this regard. He led the team to a 4-1 home T20I series win over Australia.
