When former West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard shared a quote in his Insta story, everyone felt that all was not well between him and his franchise Mumbai Indians.

After a few hours it was confirmed as he was stripped of the captaincy of MI Emirates. Last season he was the captain of the team, but this time Nicholas Puran is going to captain the team. Kieron Pollard had mentioned something similar in his post.

Similarly, when people stop getting benefits, loyalty ends.” Fans also assumed that something was not right between Pollard and MI and within a few hours he was stripped of the captaincy of MI Emirates. Even the captaincy was being taken away from him in the SA20 league.

What is the status of Kieron Pollard now :-

However, the player who was appointed captain by Mumbai Indians for SA20 is not fit. Kieron Pollard has been made the captain in place of Rashid Khan. However, the good thing for Pollard is that he is also the captain of MI New York. This team plays in MLC T20 League. Veteran all-rounder Pollard was not retained by Mumbai Indians last year and was later appointed as the batting coach.

MI Emirates has informed on its official Instagram handle that Nicholas Pooran will be the captain of the team in the MLT20 league. At the same time, information has been given on the handle of MI Cape Town about Kieron Pollard being made the captain. If Rashid Khan recovers and plays, then perhaps Pollard will have to hand over the responsibility of captaincy to Rashid Khan.
