KL Rahul is being given a chance at number 5 and now the team management has made up its mind that KL Rahul will be given the role of wicketkeeper batsman in all three formats and he will have to play in the middle order only.

Kannaur Lokesh Rahul has been playing as an opener since the beginning of his career. He has been opening in domestic cricket also and has initially opened the innings for Team India as well. However, the current circumstances are such that he will have to play in the middle order as a wicketkeeper batsman in the 2.0 avatar. Rahul has impressed everyone by playing this role in ODI cricket.

Rahul will captain in the ODI series :-
KL Rahul has left for South Africa tour, where he has to captain the three-match ODI series and after that he will be seen in Test cricket. The team management has kept him there also in the middle order as a wicketkeeper batsman. According to the report of Cricbuzz, the management will give him a chance before wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan. If Rahul does well in Test cricket in the middle order, then he can play further also.
