Bengaluru: India’s opener KL Rahul found corona infected on 21 July. He is yet to make a full recovery. Due to which Rahul may be ruled out of the T20 series against West Indies starting on July 29. A video of Trinidad posted by BCCI on its Twitter account on 26 July with players like Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dinesh Karthik among others. Seeing this video, users on social media asked where is KL Rahul.

But a report in ESPN Cricinfo said that KL Rahul recovering at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. After traveling to Germany for an injury surgery in late June. He will now be available for the ODIs against Zimbabwe in August after missing the West Indies tour.

He got corona infected before the West Indies tour

The report said, ‘He became corona infected before the West Indies tour. Although during this he has given two negative reports. But now he will focus on the ODI series in Zimbabwe. Which is part of the World Cup Super League, instead of the West Indies tour. After the West Indies tour is over, India will play three ODIs against Zimbabwe in Harare on August 18, 20 and 22. India has automatically qualified for the 50-over World Cup to be in 2023 by virtue of being the host.
