KL Rahul set to Become Captain of Lucknow team

New Delhi, Jan 18 (PTI) KL Rahul is all set to become the captain of the Lucknow team in the upcoming IPL season. A league source gave this information on Tuesday.

KL Rahul is understood to be one of the players the Lucknow team has picked up from the draft ahead of the mega auction to be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

The other two are Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi.

An IPL source said, “KL Rahul will be the captain of Lucknow. The remaining two players who have been selected from the draft are being decided by the team.

Rahul was the captain of Punjab Kings for the last two seasons. But did not want to continue with the team any further. Bishnoi was also in the Punjab team while Stoinis was part of the Delhi team.

KL Rahul is currently the caretaker captain of the Indian team in the ODI series against South Africa, replacing the injured Rohit Sharma.
