Team India’s star batsman Virat Kohli could not perform well on the first day of the first Test match against Bangladesh at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Wednesday, 14 December.

Kohli was seen practicing in the nets –

Virat could manage only one run in five balls before being dismissed lbw by left-arm spinner Taijul Islam in the 20th over of India’s first innings. After his early dismissal, Kohli was seen practicing in the nets during the tea break.

In this Twitter post, Kohli can be seen batting against India’s left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar during the tea break.

Kohli had to take a long walk as ball tracking showed three reds

Spin has been the reason for Kohli’s defeat on several occasions in the last year or so. The experienced batsman tried to counter Taijul’s deliveries by going on the back foot in the ongoing Test. However, the ball turned sharply and hit his back foot.

While Virat decided to go upstairs after a brief chat with non-striker Cheteshwar Pujara, opting for a review, he had to take a long walk as ball tracking showed three reds.
