Kumar Sangakkara’s 44th Birthday, His Wife, Career and Lifestyle

Former Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara was born on 27 October 1977 in Matale, Sri Lanka. His full name is Kumar Chokshanada Sangakkara. He was a Sri Lankan cricket commentator, former professional cricketer, businessman. And also the former president of the Marylebone Cricket Club. Widely regarded as one of the all-time high batsmen and top-class wicket-keeper.

Career of Kumar Sangakkara :-

One of the most prolific left-handed former captains to have played for Sri Lanka is Kumar Sangakkara. Pursuing his career in the field of law. Kumar developed an interest in cricket when he started playing for his college cricket team.

He was unbeaten across all formats of the game and is the highest run-scorer for S. Lankan cricket and is ranked 5th overall with 12,400 runs in 134 Test matches at an average of 57.40. He was also a high-spirited leader and under his leadership. Sri Lanka made it to the final of the 2011 World Cup.

Kumar Sangakkara’s father’s name is Chokshanada Sangakkara, and his mother’s name is Kumari Sangakkara, and his wife’s name is Yehali Sangakkara, and Kumar has three siblings whose names are Tushari Sangakkara, Vemindra Sangakkara. And they were married on December 11, 2017, and they have two children, a son, a daughter, and they have Buddhism.

Kumar’s best performance :-

Kumar’s best performance in limited-overs cricket against the Men in Blue came during Sri Lanka’s tour of India in 2005. Batting first, Sangakkara’s unbeaten 138 in 147 balls led Sri Lanka to a target of 298 runs for the loss of four wickets in the third ODI. His innings hit 13 fours and two sixes and despite his tireless efforts, Sri Lanka lost the match by six wickets.

In the 11th match of the CB series, Kumar played a clever knock of 105 off 87 balls as Sri Lanka scored 320 for the loss of four wickets against India.
