Lancashire has signed Tim David as one of their overseas players for the Vitality T20 Blast.

The Australia’s Guide :-

Tim David, who has played T20Is for Singapore but is also qualified to guide Australia, has enjoyed a remarkable edge over the last year.

A powerful hitter, he charged Lahore Qalandars in the 2021 PSL, before spells in the CPL and IPL to play club cricket in the Netherlands before joining Surrey and then the Southern Brave.

He is currently playing for the defending champions Multan Sultans in the PSL, for whom he has scored 71 off 29 balls and 51 off 19 in the first fortnight of this year’s competition.

The Head Coach Glenn Chappell Said :-

Lancashire head coach Glenn Chappell said: “Tim fits the profile of the player we wanted to bring into our T20 squad and his inclusion will give us more power in the middle-order.”

“His impressive T20 record – internationally and in various leagues around the world – speaks for itself and we are really looking forward to joining us in May.”

Tim, who has a career strike rate of 158.52 in T20s, has also featured in Big Bash for Perth Scorchers and Hobart Hurricanes.

He was signed to a short-term deal by Surrey the previous summer, after the club experienced an injury crisis during the later stages of the Blast, and scored two centuries and averaged 68.00 in the Royal London Cup.

As An Injury Replacement :-

David then joined with the Southern Braves as an injury replacement, playing in the finals. As they won the undefeated men’s hundred.

“I’m really excited that this opportunity has arrived. And I can’t wait to join the rest of the Lancashire Lightning team. For the start of the Vitality Blast in May.” said David.
