New Delhi. Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul scored a half-century against Gujarat Titans in the 30th match of IPL 2023. This is Rahul’s second fifty in the 16th season of IPL. He completed his 50 runs in 38 balls on the spin bowlers helpful wicket. During this he hit 8 fours. Earlier, KL Rahul played an inning of 74 runs against Punjab Kings. In this match, Lucknow got a target of 136 runs to win. Chasing this, the pair of KL Rahul and Kyle Myers scored 53 runs in the first 6 overs of the powerplay. Before KL Rahul, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya also scored a half-century in the match.

KL Rahul Started the Run Chase for Lucknow Super Giants

KL Rahul started the run chase for Lucknow Super Giants. He played the first over. But, this over of Mohammed Shami was maiden. Even in the last match, KL Rahul could not score runs in the first over. Despite not scoring runs in the first 6 balls, KL Rahul completed 50 runs in 38 balls in the match against Gujarat Titans. This is his overall 33rd Fifty in IPL. Before this match, KL Rahul had a strike rate of 110 in the powerplay. But, in this match, he scored runs at a strike rate of 158.

In this match, KL Rahul made another achievement in his name. He became the Indian to score 7000 T20 runs in the shortest innings. He completed these runs in 197 innings. Virat Kohli took 212, Shikhar Dhawan 246, Suresh Raina 251 and Mumbai Indians captain Rohit took 258 innings to score 7000 T20 runs.
