New Delhi, Sports Desk. The first ODI played between India and New Zealand at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday was full of excitement. Michael Bracewell Won the Hearts of the fans by Scoring a Century. The Indian team batting first scored 349/8 in 50 overs. In response, New Zealand made a strong counterattack, but remained 12 runs away from the target. The Kiwi team got all out after scoring 337 runs in 49.2 overs. India has gone ahead 1-0 in the three-match ODI series.
Chasing the target of 350 runs, the New Zealand team had lost 6 wickets for 131 runs at one stage. Then Michael Bracewell came to the crease and turned the tide of the match. He shared a 162-run partnership for the seventh wicket with Mitchell Santner (57) to not only bring New Zealand back into the match but also made the match very exciting.

Bracewell scored 140 runs in just 78 balls with the help of 12 fours and 10 sixes. He brought the match to the point that New Zealand needed 20 runs in the last over to win. India somehow managed to win the match.

Second-best individual ODI score – Michael Bracewell scored the second-best individual ODI score for New Zealand, with the team failing to win. Bracewell scored 140 and broke Chris Harris’ record. Chris Harris played an inning of 130 against Australia in 1996. However, the record for the best individual score for New Zealand in a loss is held by former all-rounder Scott Styris, who scored 141 against Sri Lanka in the 2003 World Cup.
2nd best individual score at No.7 chasing a target in ODIs – Michael Bracewell broke another record with an innings of 140. Michael Bracewell made the second best individual score chasing the target by landing at number-7 or below. This record is in the name of Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, who scored an unbeaten 146 against New Zealand in 2017. Then he came down to bat at number-7.
