Abu Dhabi: Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has again come into the limelight after clashing with Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on social media during the T20 World Cup and crossing the line of dignity. Now Amir has backed the offer of Dubai Cricket Council chairman Abdul Rehman Falknaaz to host a bilateral series between India and Pakistan in the UAE.

India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series since 2013 due to political tensions. Since then the two countries have faced each other only in global ICC (International Cricket Council) tournaments. Most recently in the T20 World Cup clash.
Mohammad Amir Said, ‘It’s a Good Offer
Mohammad Amir said, ‘It is a good offer and we should thank them. But unless the governments of both the countries sit down and discuss their problems, the third party cannot do anything.’
According to a release issued by Abu Dhabi T10. Mohammad Amir said, ‘It also depends on the cricket boards of both the countries and what they think about it. If all the parties agree and if the bilateral series is held in Dubai then it will be great for the game. ‘Mohammad Amir has said this big thing in terms of cricket.

But this idea does not seem to be coming true on the ground. The reason is that the relations between India and Pakistan have been deteriorating over the years. And there is no reason to see that any bilateral series can be organized between the two even on neutral ground.
