Multan Sultans teams demolition Peshawar Zalmi’s to register five wins, batting first and scoring 222 runs.
Rizwan’s excellent innings of 82 runs in 3 balls :-
Another masterclass was from Mohammad Rizwan, who smashed a scintillating 82 off 53 balls, and yet another application of brute force from Tim David, who smashed an unbeaten 51 off 19 balls to reach his second-highest score of the tournament Team formed.

The pressure on the scoreboard meant that Peshawar Zalmi was never really chasing, and as the asking rate climbed in the middle overs, Wahab Riaz’s side was torn apart.
Almost always, Imran Tahir sliced through Peshawar Zalmi in the middle overs, his three wickets helping keep Peshawar at 165 and suffering a 57-run defeat.
Wahab Riaz had stated that he could have won the toss and batted first, but in that case, he opted to include the Sultans. Four of the first six overs were hit for two boundaries each as Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan scored 61 runs till the end.
When Shoaib finally carried Maqsood to backward point, the Sultans set up the right stage with 85 runs from nine overs.
The Batsmen attack from the get-go :-
It gave the incoming batsmen the freedom to attack from the get-go, but a small cameo from Sohaib Maqsood was just a warm-up act for what David was supposing to do.
A six and a four off the first two balls set the pace, and when he caught Wahab Riaz on the scene, forcing the bowler to go around the wicket, the sky was turning black around the men in yellow.
Even Rizwan’s dismissal in the last over brought some relief to Zalmi as Khushdil Shah clean bowled Riaz with three consecutive sixes in the 20th over as the Sultans scored 127 runs in the last nine overs.
For the shortest time – the first five overs to be amazing – it looking like we could have like a game as Hazratullah Zazai and Haider Ali got off to a quick start.
Shahnawaz Dahani – who made a phenomenal comeback after being ruling out earlier in the season – struck early to remove Kamran Akmal. But Haider Ali made Anwar Ali shine by scoring 17 runs in his second over.
The Last laugh to the leading wicket-taker :-
He also struck a couple of blows to Shahnawaz. But last year’s leading wicket-taker had the last laugh when he attempted an uppercut.
In addition to 55 runs after five overs, two wickets meant. That the Sultans had a stellar performance in the early stages.
Runs dried up in the next overs as Tahir and Abbas Afridi applied the brakes. And like a boa constrictor, Sultan was squeezing the contestant’s life. This made Zalmi frantic and Tahir always shone in that chaos.

Malik was dismissing at long-on before Tahir bowled two consecutive deliveries in the next over, sending off Sherfane Rutherford and more importantly, Zazai with some beautiful changes of flight.
A nasty blow to the head by Shahnawaz Dahani. which was following by a six off his last three legal balls, was demolishing. His figures as he marched to a fifty in 29 balls.
But claiming that as a positive for Peshawar Zalmi’s would be grabbing the straw in a night when Peshawar Zalmi’s side was little more than fodder for the Multan Sultans’ juggler.
