Mumbai’s 13-year-old Yash Chavde played an inning of unbeaten 508 runs

Maharashtra’s 13-year-old batsman Yash Chavde created history in the Mumbai Indians Junior School tournament played in Nagpur on Friday. Yash Chavde played an unbeaten inning of 508 runs facing 178 balls.

Yash has become the first Indian batsman to score 500 runs or more in any inter school limited overs cricket match.

The record of playing biggest innings in the name of Chirath Saleperuma: –

The world record for playing the biggest innings in this category is in the name of Sri Lanka’s Chirath Celeperuma. Chirath scored an inning of 553 runs in an under-15 match in Sri Lanka in 2022.

The match was of 40 overs, in which Yash Chavde ‘s team Saraswati Vidyalaya scored 714 runs without loss and then the opposing team Siddheshwar Vidyalaya’s innings was bundled out for just nine runs in five overs and won the match by a huge margin of 705 runs.

Yash Chavde hit 81 fours and 18 sixes in 178 balls :-

Please tell that Yash faced 178 balls in his innings and hit 81 fours and 18 sixes. During Mumbai Indians’ junior inter-school (under-14) cricket tournament, Yash, playing for Saraswati Vidyalaya, grabbed headlines for his unbeaten 508 against Siddheshwar Vidyalaya at the Jhulelal Institute of Technology ground in Nagpur.

Became the fifth batsman of India to score more than 500 runs :-

Yash’s innings is only the 10th innings of more than 500 runs in any format or age group. Out of these, five times this feat has been done by an Indian batsman. Before Yash Chavde, Pranav Dhanvade (1009 not out), Priyanshu Moliya (556 runs), Prithvi Shaw (546 runs) and Dadi Hawewala (515 runs) have done this for India.

Although all four of these batsmen had scored so many runs in more than one day’s match. Yash became the first Indian to score more than 500 runs in limited overs cricket.
