Bangladesh coach Russell Domingo said that Mushfiqur Rahim no longer wants to keep wickets in the shortest format of the game.

Rahim Will No Longer Wicket-Keeping-

According to head coach Russell Domingo, Mushfiqur Rahim has informed the Bangladesh team management that he will no longer be wicket-keeping in T20Is. Domingo’s disclosure came after Bangladesh’s defeat in the third T20 match against New Zealand on Sunday.

Domingo quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo. We have to focus on Nurul Hasan Sohan and let him do those duties to go into the competition.

Mushfiqur has not yet disclosed why he does not want to do wicketkeeping. This site may have to clear them all

Spinner Ejaz Patel’s four-wicket haul helped New Zealand defend 128 runs and beat Bangladesh by 52 runs in the third T20I of the five-match series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Sunday.

With this win, New Zealand registered their first win of the series. And the five-match series is 2–1 in favor of Bangladesh. The fourth T20 match will now be played on Wednesday.

The team management will take its own decisions, that’s how it usually goes. Who will play, in what position, and who will have which role? These are things that should only be in the dressing room. When these things get out, it creates unnecessary pressure on the player,” he said.

Mushfiqur’s side of the story is yet to be heard. He has previously said that wicketkeeping often helps his batting. But since Domingo has relayed his decision. It is now time for Nurul to become the main man for Bangladesh behind the stumps.
