PSL 2022:- The Tournament Director Salman Naseer has confirmed that just days before the new PSL session begins on January 27, three players and five support staff have returned positive for COVID-19 after the latest round of tests, and went into isolation went.

The Training Session From January 24 :-

Players will be giving their consent to join their teams for the training session from 24 January, if they give two negative test findings, ending their assigned time of separation.

Members of six franchises have started checking in at their hotels after pre-arrival tests returning negative results, of which more than 250 have been arranged since Thursday.

As a precautionary measure, the PCB began pre-emptive inspections of the hotel staff. And PCB officials from January 14 – hotel staff who testing positive were quarantining and are currently in home isolating.

“PCB is the resistance to creating a safe environment for all participants so that they can play and showcase their best skills,” Salman Naseer said in a statement.

“The environment in which we currently live will have positive themes, but we have strong health and safety plans in place to determine if the event is played and culminates in the January 27 to February 27 window.”

As per the PSL 2022 blueprint, there will be 17 rounds of trials during the competition. A three-day quarantine is required before the start of the tournament in Karachi, followed by four days of training.

The Two Negative RT-PCR Findings :-

Routine testing will take place in the first three days of the quarantine before all those with two negative RT-PCR findings will be given consent to enter the bubble. Apart from this, every person will have an RT-PCR test every other day.

The PCB has taken additional precautions, including provisions to avoid postponement, even if some players decide to COVID-19, with franchises agreeing to 20 players on their roster, along. With an additional pool of reserve players in case of an emergency to provide cover.
