Nathan Lyon: India-Australia Test series is equivalent to ‘Ashes’

Australia’s legendary spinner Nathan Lyon believes the Border-Gavaskar series has grown in prestige and beating the legends of the subcontinent is becoming a bigger challenge. He further said, ‘Since 2017 India has surprised the Kangaroos by winning this trophy three times in a row.’

In an interview to ‘Code Sports’, Nathan Lyon compared the Border Gavaskar Test series to the Ashes, saying, ‘The Ashes mean the most to Australian players. There is something in the series that we respect. Take up the challenge and actually play some kind of cricket so that we can take the series to our name.

Nathan Lyon said “It is a big challenge to win the Test series against India” :-

The off-spinner, who took 427 wickets in Test cricket, said about the tour of India, ‘We know that we are capable of challenging India. This is coming up as a big challenge for us, but we can learn a lot from our performance in Pakistan.

There is a tough competition between India and Australia :-
