New Delhi, Sports Desk. There was a fierce dispute between Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli in the 43rd match of IPL 2023 on Monday. Naveen-ul-Haq said after the match that his reaction to Kohli after the incident was genuine and he informed his teammates in the dressing room.

The incident started when Kohli uttered a few words against Naveen and then made a shoe gesture at him. The Afghanistan player turned red with anger and proceeded aggressively towards Kohli. Then on-field umpires and Amit Mishra separated Kohli-Naveen. Virat Kohli’s anger continued and he also called Amit Mishra good and bad and asked him to calm down Naveen.

Virat Kohli Stopped and Started Answering them

After the match, both the players shook hands with each other, but Naveen said a few words. Kohli did not pay attention to this and went ahead and shook hands with other people. Naveen continued his speech and then Virat Kohli stopped and started answering him. Seeing the situation getting out of control, Glenn Maxwell took over the matter and separated the two.

According to the report of Indian Express, Naveen-ul-Haq told his Lucknow-mate, “I have come here to play IPL, I have not come here to listen to anyone’s abuse.” The dispute between Virat Kohli and Naveen did not stop there. Both gave each other a taunting message on Instagram Story. Naveen wrote on his Insta story, “You got what you deserve, that’s what happens and that’s how it will be.”

BCCI has Taken Strict Action Against Naveen-ul-Haq and Kohli

Please tell that BCCI has taken strict action against Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli. The Afghanistan player has been fined 50 per cent of his match fee. While Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir have been fined 100 per cent of their match fees.
