Lost one eye in car accident

Mansoor Ali lost his right eye in a car accident in July 1961, after which his career was under threat. Still, Tiger did not lose his spirits and made up his mind to play better with only one eye. Nawab Pataudi started his Test career against England only 6 months after this accident, in which he scored 103 runs and made the first series in India’s name. He was selected as the captain after three Test matches. In this way Tiger Nawab Pataudi became the captain of Team India at the age of 21.
