New Zealand’s Chris Cairns Diagnosed with Bowel Cancer

The Former New Zealand All-Rounder Chris Cairns was Diagnosed with bowel cancer last year after a series of health complications. The 51-year-old revealed on his Instagram post that it was a “huge blow”.

According to New Zealand media reports, he was discharged from the hospital in Canberra last week after a life-threatening heart attack and paraplegia.

Cairns wrote on Instagram, “As for weeks, I thought Tom Brady retiring would be the low point of this week.

I was Told Yesterday

“I was told yesterday that I have bowel cancer… a big shock and not what I was expecting after a routine check-up.

“So, as I prepare for another round of conversations with surgeons and specialists, I remember how lucky I am to be here in the first place… How blessed I am

This week or so, bad enough, some kids got in on the game and celebrated (son) Noah’s birthday at home.

A Sharp Upper Cut in The First Round :-

“Another fight ahead but here’s hoping it’s a sharp upper cut and over in the first round.”

In August last year, Cairns suffered an aortic dissection after suffering a heart attack. He was also on life support during that appointed time and was paralyzed in his legs following surgery on his spinal cord.

The son of former Test player Lance Cairns, Cairns played 62 Tests and 215 ODIs for New Zealand between 1989 and 2006.
