After this, BCCI has taken strong action on him within 24 hours. There is even a threat of ban on them. Talking about the 61st match of the 16th season of the T20 league, CSK, captained by MS Dhoni, scored 144 runs for 6 wickets while playing first. In reply, KKR achieved the target by losing 4 wickets with 9 balls remaining. Nitish remained unbeaten on 57 runs. At the same time, Rinku Singh also played a blistering inning of 54 runs.

Nitish Rana Was Seen Arguing With the Umpires

Kolkata Knight Riders team has been fined against CSK due to slow over rate. Captain Nitish Rana has been fined Rs 24 lakh while other players have been fined Rs 6 lakh or 25-25 per cent of the match fee. Earlier, in the 20th over of the innings, Nitish was seen arguing with the umpires. The team could not bowl 20 overs on time. In such a situation, he was allowed to keep only 4 players outside the 30 yard circle instead of 5.

Second Mistake in a Week

Earlier on May 8, Kolkata was also fined against Punjab Kings due to slow overs. Then a fine of Rs 12 lakh was imposed on Nitish Rana. According to the rule, for making such a mistake for the third time, he can be banned for one match. Due to the second mistake, the amount of fine on him has increased to Rs 24 lakh. Talk about KKR, he has played 13 matches of the league round so far. The team is at the 7th position in the point table with 12 points. In such a situation, if the team is successful in making a place in the playoffs, then Nitish’s ban may be heavy on the team.

Talking about IPL 2023, fines have been imposed on Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul, Mumbai Indians captain Suryakumar Yadav, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya and Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson.
