NZ and WI are the fixtures to start the Women’s WC 2022, with hosts New Zealand playing. The opening match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 against West Indies on 4 March.

The Launch of Tournament Fixtures :-

Introducing the fixtures of the 50-over marquee tournament. The ICC endorsing that the tournament’s 31 matches would be played over 31. Days with the final to be playing at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on 3 April.

On the second day of the fixtures, defending champions England will take on arch-rivals and six-time winners Australia at Seddon Park in Hamilton, while the sub-continental opponents India and Pakistan will take on the next day at the Bay Oval, Tauranga.

The Team Qualifying For the Semi-Finals :-

As in the previous edition in 2017, the eight-team tournament will be playing in league terms, with each team finishing top-four in the qualifying standings once against the other team for the semi-finals, which will be played at Basin Reserve, Wellington.

(March 30) and Hagley Oval in Christchurch (March 31). One day each will be reserving in all three knockout matches.

The Qualified For This Event

The 2000 edition’s champions New Zealand qualified for the event as hosts, while Australia, England, South Africa, and India qualified on the basis of their positions in the ICC Women’s Championship 2017–20.

The qualifier event in Zimbabwe had to be calling off last month due to Covid-19 concerns.

The last three places in the tournament were taking by Bangladesh, Pakistan, and West Indies basing on team rankings, taking into account the playing conditions of the tournament.
