Sri Lanka beat New Zealand in a Super Over in the T20 International on Sunday. New Zealand’s Ish Sodhi sent the match to the super over by hitting the last ball of the 20th over for a six. With the help of Kushal Perera (53 not out), Sri Lanka scored 196 runs for five wickets in 20 overs in the first T20. In response, the New Zealand team tied the match by scoring 196 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs.

Sri Lanka Won by Scoring 11 Runs Without Losing a Wicket
Daryl Mitchell (66) scored the most runs for New Zealand. After this, a super over was used to decide the result of the match. The hosts needed 13 runs in the last over to win, while six runs were required from the last ball to win the Super Over. Sodhi hit a six off Sri Lankan captain Shanaka. In the super over, New Zealand were able to score eight runs for two wickets in one over. In response, Sri Lanka won by scoring 11 runs without losing a wicket. Sri Lanka is leading 1-0 in the three-match series.
