Names Of Teams :-

Haseeb Hameed, Jacques Crowley, David Malan, Joe Root (c), Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Mark Wood, Jack Leach, Stuart Broad, Jimmy Anderson.

The accomplished pacer had expressed his displeasure in his column at being ruled out of two Tests in Brisbane and Melbourne, having been given the opportunity only once in Adelaide.

Broad felt he was incapable of contributing or doing anything about England’s 0-3 loss in the Ashes, remaining on the sidelines for most of the series.

“I hope we have some caged tigers coming into this match, Ben is one of them and Stuart Broad is the other,” Thorpe said.

“It’s important to get the players in the right frame of mind. I think they want to perform for themselves and for the team as a whole.”

Chris Silverwood Takes Over :-

Thorpe took over from head coach Chris Silverwood for the Sydney Test, noting that the latter was unable to travel with the team from Melbourne after testing positive for COVID-19.

Although the COVID-19 outbreak in the English camp has been a distraction for tourists, Thorpe said England has also not played “good enough cricket”.
