Ireland Women’s head coach Ed Joyce said :-

“It’s great recognition for Orla, who had a tremendous tournament for us with both bat and ball. She has been in exceptional form since returning from injury last year – and it’s great to see the cricket world starting to recognise the talent in Irish cricket coming through that we have known for several years now.

While this is a personal recognition for Orla, I hope that it will instil even more belief in the wider squad that we can match it with the best and deserve our place on the world stage.”
