New Delhi, Online Desk. Australia had to face defeat in the three-match ODI series played against Pakistan. The team won the series 2-1 on the back of captain Babar Azam second consecutive century. In the match played on Saturday, Australia’s team was reduced to just 210 runs while batting first. In reply, Pakistan registered an easy victory losing 1 wicket in 37.5 overs.

After falling behind in the three-match ODI series, Pakistan came back to life on the strength of captain Babar Azam brilliant batting and won. In the final and deciding match on Saturday, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. Australia’s team could only score 210 runs in front of the sharp bowling of Mohammad Wasim, Hasir Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Wicketkeeper Alex Carey top-scored with 56 while Sean Abbott scored 49 runs.

Babar- Imam’s unbreakable partnership

On 24 runs, the team got its first blow in the form of Fakhar Zaman, but after that no wicket fell. The pair, who played a key role in chasing the mammoth target of 348 runs with a partnership of 111 runs in the previous match, ended the match here. Both played a partnership of 190 runs and took the team to victory. Imam scored 89 runs in 100 balls while Babar Azam scored 105 runs.

The second consecutive century of Babar Azam

The captain, who took the team to victory by playing a brilliant century in the second ODI of the series, scored another century. In the last and deciding match of the series, this innings from the captain’s bat made the match easy. Playing 115 balls, Babar Azam completed his century, scoring 12 fours. Babar Azam had scored a brilliant century in the last match as well.
