PAK vs NZ: New Zealand Included Batsman Running in Dangerous Form in ODI Team

After five T20 matches, New Zealand, who came on Pakistan tour, now has to play ODI series (PAK vs NZ) from 27 April. The squad for this series was already announced but now there has been a significant change and the inclusion of left-handed batsman Mark Chapman. Chapman played a key role in leveling the T20I series 2-2 against Pakistan and his tremendous form has earned him a chance in the ODI team as well. The ODI series will begin in Rawalpindi, where the last two matches of the T20I series were scheduled.

Mark Chapman proved to be the best batsman in the T20 series for New Zealand. He batted smoky throughout the series and also scored the first century of his career in the fifth T20. He was the highest run-scorer in the series and was also adjudged Player of the Series. In five matches, Chapman scored 290 runs at an incredible average of 290. During this, a century and two half-centuries also came from his bat.

Chasing Pakistan’s target of 194 runs in the fifth T20, New Zealand lost their 3 wickets till the score of just 26 runs. Chapman batted brilliantly from here on. He handled the first innings and then batting fast. Also played an excellent match-winning inning of 104 not out in 57 balls. He shared an unbroken 121-run partnership with James Neesham (45 *) for the fifth wicket to give his team a 6-wicket win.

Chapman has so far played seven ODIs, two of them for Hong Kong. He made his ODI debut for New Zealand in 2018 and last appeared in July 2022. When he scored a match-winning 101 not out against Scotland.

Tom Blundell and Henry Nicholls Will Join the Team in Rawalpindi for the ODIs

Tom Blundell and Henry Nicholls will join the team in Rawalpindi for the ODIs. While Dane Cleaver, who was part of the T20Is, will return home. The ODIs begin on April 26 in Rawalpindi while the last three matches will be played in Karachi. The last match will be played on May 7.
