Poor batting of Bangladesh against Afghanistan became the reason for the defeat, the team did not even reach the figure of 100

Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by 62 runs in the 12th warm-up match of the ICC 2022 Men’s T20 World Cup. Afghanistan team scored 160/7 in 20 overs playing first, in response Bangladesh team could only score 98/9 while playing full over.

Taskin Ahmed has the most three successes for Bangladesh

Batting first after winning the toss, Afghanistan got the first blow in the form of Hazratullah Zazai on the score of 19. Zazai walks into the fourth over after scoring 15 off 16 balls. The second opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 27 runs in 19 balls and his wicket fell on the score of 62. Darvish Rasuli also became the victim of Taskin Ahmed by scoring 12 runs in 12 balls. Ibrahim Zadran, who came to bat at number 3, batted well and scored 42 runs in 39 balls. In the lower order, captain Mohammad Nabi made an unbeaten 41 runs in 17 balls with the help of five sixes and a four. Taskin Ahmed scored the most three successes for Bangladesh.

Soumya Sarkar and captain Shakib Al Hasan were dismissed for 1-1 respectively

Chasing the target, Bangladesh lost their first wicket in the form of Najmul Hossain Shanto. He got out after scoring 12 runs in 9 balls. Soumya Sarkar and captain Shakib Al Hasan dismissed for 1-1 respectively. The team’s wickets kept falling at regular intervals and none of the batsmen could score big. Opener Mehdi Hasan Miraj was also dismissed for the seventh wicket. After scoring 16 runs in 31 balls. Lower down the order, Mosaddek Hossein scored 29 runs in 22 balls and the team’s top scorer. Mustafizur Rahman remained unbeaten on 10 runs. Fazal Haque Farooqui took 3 wickets for 9 runs for Afghanistan.
