I am very happy to hear the compliments from the captain, Prankar said in the post-match press conference

Pranam said in the post-match press conference, “I love it because he (Rohit) has been playing cricket for a long time. I am very happy to hear compliments from him.”

He took four wickets for 12 runs in nine overs, due to which Rohit looked very impressed.

Rohit later said, “I have not seen such a spell for India in a long time. He bowled superbly.”

He said, “Personally, I was working very hard. I am glad that that hard work paid off. I made my debut for India a year ago and my aim was to perform consistently.

“The timing of his innings was crucial as we had lost early wickets. West Indies bowlers did well. So Surya’s innings was very special.

“We all want to do well together as a bowling unit. We know we have good bowlers and we are learning from each other. There’s nothing special about it.”
