Prasidh Krishna led India’s series 4/12 with a 44-run victory in the second ODI against the West Indies as India defended a total of 237 runs in the second ODI in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
West Indies Scored 193 Runs in 46 Overs :-
Windies scored 193 runs in 46 overs. The 44-run victory meant the hosts went on to win the three-match series, winning the first game by six wickets.

Prasidh Krishna troubled the Windies batsmen with the bounce off the surface and was rewarded with the wickets of Brandon King (18), Darren Bravo (1), and stand-in captain Nicholas Pooran (9). While King and Bravo pat the keeper to the nippy pacer, Pooran makes a probing delivery to the slips.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Shardul Thakur also left the visiting team behind by scoring 76 for 5 wickets. The leggie dismissed a well-set Shai Hope (27), who got out for a very long time.
Shardul Thakur then dismissed Jason Holder (2) as the all-rounder missed the pull at deep square leg.
Brooks Batted Well for 44 Runs :-
Sharmarh Brooks batted well with 44 runs before becoming Deepak Hooda’s first victim in international cricket. A well set-up batsman hits a length delivery straight over long-on.
Aqeel Hossein fought hard for 34 but he was always fighting a losing battle. A well-directed bouncer from Thakur ended his guard as Rishabh Pant completed a fine diving catch behind the wickets.
Alzarri Joseph and Odion Smith claimed two scalps each as West Indies restricted India to 237 for 9 after winning the toss and bowling first in the second ODI.
Suryakumar Yadav scored 64 runs for India, while KL Rahul scored 49 runs. Whereas, the rest could not stand in front of the West Indies bowlers.
India again experimented with Rishabh, this time sending him to open with Rohit Sharma. Things, however, did not work out as he was dismissed for 18 off 34.
West Indies also got the Indian captain’s big wicket cheap as they dismissed Kemar Roach for just 5 runs. Former captain Virat Kohli (18) had another off-day with the bat. He was caught behind attempting to drive Odeon Smith.
Kohli’s release put India in trouble for 43 for 3. Yadav and Rahul then put on a 91-run fourth-wicket partnership to lift the hosts. The partnership put India in a good position.
Yadav Completed His fifty in 70 Balls :-
Suryakumar Yadav completed his fifty in 70 balls. However, his innings came to an end when he sweeps Fabian Allen at short fine leg. India was at 177 for 5 at the time, and fell well short of 250 points, with the addition of short innings from Washington Sundar (24 off 41) and Deepak Hooda (29 off 25). Prasidh Krishna, however, proved to be very good for the Windies batsmen.
Suryakumar Yadav made a crucial 64 while batting with resolve for India, while Rahul scored 49.

When India came to bowl Prasidh Krishna (4/12) was excellent. The West Indies batsmen never seemed to be in control against their pace.
Odion Smith (2/29 and 24) put up a decent all-round performance for the visitors while Alzarri Joseph took 2 for 36. With the bat, Sharmarh Brooks scored 44 runs for West Indies.
