Karachi, Feb 4 (AP) Veteran leg-spinner Shahid Afridi of Quetta Gladiators became the second most expensive spinner to prove himself in a T20I match as his team was defeated by Islamabad United by 43 runs in a Pakistan Super League match.
Afridi, playing his first match after being out of three matches due to Corona infection. Took one wicket for 67 runs. Islamabad made 224 for four when sent to bat first.

Leeward Island leg-spinner Anthony Martin holds the record for the worst bowling in T20Is. Conceding 70 runs without taking a wicket against Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean T20 League in 2012.

Captain Shadab Khan took five wickets for 27 runs for Islamabad. Quetta’s team was bowled out for 186 runs in 19.3 overs. Quetta had lost seven wickets for 110 runs but lower down the order. Mohammad Nawaz made 47 off 22 balls and James Faulkner made 30 not out to reduce the margin of defeat.

Earlier, Colin Munro scored an unbeaten 72 off 39 balls for Islamabad and Paul Stirling of Ireland made 58 runs. Azam Khan contributed 65 runs in 35 balls.

Islamabad are now second behind Multan Sultans with four points from three matches. Multan have won all four matches while Quetta have won only one match out of four.
