Quarantine for 11 days in Oman West Indies women ‘Relieved’

After an 11-day Quarantine in Oman, West Indies women were allowing to go home on Friday. Head coach Walsh said the transition period in Oman was “mentally overwhelming” after the World Cup qualifiers were rejecting.

The Travel Control in Southern Africa :-

The teams were stucking in Oman since the ICC rejected them. The Women’s World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe on 27 November, in addition to tracing the Omicron Covid-19 variant. And imposed travel controls on large parts of South Africa.

“We are pleasing to confirm. That the West Indies women’s team will be returning home shortly.” CWI CEO Johnny Grave said.

“We would like to thank him for his patience and understanding as we worked with our equals in ICC and Oman cricket to make his return as soon as possible.

We would like to express our appreciation to the ICC, Oman Cricket, and our control team, who have worked tirelessly to make sure everyone stays comfortable and safe.”

The Courtney Walsh said :-

Head coach Courtney Walsh said the team is “relieving” to go back home. And be with their families before Christmas. And the extent of the transition in Oman is “mentally taxing” for both players and admin staff on the has been the entire team.

Courtney Walsh said in a statement: “As an organization group, we have endeavored to determine whether players remain in a determined mindset.”

“Our strength and conditioning coach created a fitness boost for all of us to participate during. The Quarantine period was something to take our mind off what was happening.

I must say thank you to our team manager, ICC, and Oman Cricket. For all their logistical work, for making sure we are on our way home as soon as possible.”

The ICC’s Private Charter :-

Along with eight other international collectibles, the team was sent to Oman through an ICC private charter, with a short stop in Namibia. Oman was used as a staging area for the West Indies group while they waited for a receiving route home.

With the ODI World Cup due next March and April. The qualifiers cannot be combined at a later date, and the ICC stated that the remaining three places will be decided according to the rankings.

Apart from the conclusion of the qualifying event, Bangladesh, West Indies, and Pakistan have secured their places. Hosts in New Zealand, Australia, England, South Africa, and India have already been banned for marquee events.
