Quetta Gladiators trade Azam Khan to Islamabad United
In another buy-and-hold. Quetta Gladiators traded wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan to Islamabad United. And got the servicing of Iftikhar Ahmed in return.
In The Upcoming PSL Draft :-
Shahid and James Vince will be selling by Multan Sultans to Quetta Gladiators in place of Diamond. And Silver pick in the upcoming PSL draft.
After moved to their fourth PSL franchise, Shahid Afridi said: “I am exciting to join the Quetta Gladiators aside. That has had a roller-coaster ride in the past few events apart from winning the title in 2019.

In my last PSL event, it will be my dream and I want to taste success with Peshawar Zalmi in 2017 and sign another PSL trophy.
PSL is a system that stimulates and motivates a player to give his best. I will use that motivation to help my team and move forward. Demonstrations that can help us achieve the objectives of our system.”
For the upcoming edition, the PSL organization has also changed the categories for some players before the draft, notably Mohammad Rizwan – who captained the Sultans last year – from Silver, the third most valuable category, to Platinum, Most are more valuable.
This Year the PCB Decided The Category :-
United batsman Asif Ali and Lahore Qalandars bowler Haris Rauf also take their places in the platinum category. This year the PCB had decided the category. In previous editions, six franchises were using to classify players into categories.
Leaving Iftikhar Ahmed was a difficult decision for United as they were allowing to have two local players each in the Platinum and Diamond categories.
Since they now have Shadab Khan and Asif in platinum, they had to drop one of Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, and Ahmed. He instead included Azam in the gold category.

Ahmed said, “Removing from Islamabad United has been a difficult decision, but considering my future in T20 cricket with the Pakistan team, I think it is the best move.”
“I am grateful to the Islamabad United administrators for their approval and understanding, as they have stood behind me in all my decisions. I am thrilled to be reunited with Shahid Afridi in Quetta Gladiators in addition to 2017 when we last played the HBL PSL I playing together.
Quetta Gladiators include many of my contemporaries with whom I have played a lot of cricket.”
The Pre-Tournament Draft will be holding on Dec 12 :-
The seventh season of PSL will start from January 27 next year, with a pre-tournament draft on December 12. The league will start about a month earlier than usual to make room for Australia’s upcoming tour of Pakistan in March-April. Expires on February 27th.
Each franchise is allowed to retaining a maximum of eight players from their previous roster. And select eight others in the spec.
Players selecting as competitors for the Abu Dhabi leg in PSL 6 are not considering in the original roster. Each team is also allowing to choose two additional players in the supplementary round.

The PSL will be hosted at only two venues: the National Stadium in Karachi will host the first 15 matches. While all other games involving the final will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The deadline for PSL trades is blocked on Thursday. with only United, Quetta Gladiators, and Sultans exercising the option to trade. Teams will now have to decide on their retentions – a maximum of eight – by 4 p.m. Pakistan time on Friday.
