Lucknow Super Giants has become the second team to qualify for the IPL 2022 playoffs. Lucknow Super Giants defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by two runs in a very exciting match. In this match, Quinton de Kock scored a century for Lucknow. This is the second century of his IPL career.

After the player of the match Quinton, Lucknow captain KL Rahul also spoke to the broadcaster. Talking about the match, Rahul said-

‘Not many matches have gone till the last ball. Yes, we have definitely gone till the last over. But not so close. Glad that we are on the winning side. Finished the last match of the league stage well. Credits to both the teams for making this match the best.

Talking to the broadcaster after the match, he said-

‘I was a little tired. But I had to come on the field and complete the task. When I was celebrating, a little frustration came out. The way I was getting out in the last few matches. So this century was going to calm down a bit. I don’t know what I was thinking. I was just keeping it inside me.

Referring to Kolkata’s batting and the last over bowled by Marcus Stoinis, Quinton said-

After three overs I thought he would struggle a lot to reach our score. But he understood the game. Shreyas and rest of the batters played a good game. I thought Stoinis would defend in the last over. But after three balls I thought the match was over. But Avon Lewis proved that catches win matches.

In this match, Lucknow captain KL Rahul won the toss and decided to bat first. De Kock and KL Rahul came out to bat for the team. Both the players batted till the last over. Quinton scored 140 runs in 70 balls and Rahul scored 68 runs in 51 balls and Lucknow’s total was 210 runs.
