KL Rahul, Team India’s captain for the first Test against Bangladesh. Rahul has announced that fans will be in for a lot of attacking cricket in the upcoming red-ball series. KL Rahul said that the team will not enter with any pre-set mindset but will try to adapt to the game situation.

After losing 1-2 in ODIs, Team India will now play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh. The first match will be played in Chattogram from 14 to 18 December while the second match will be played in Dhaka from 22 to 26 December.

Rahul has been named captain for the first Test as regular skipper Rohit Sharma has been ruled out with a thumb injury. In a press conference ahead of the opening Test, Rahul was asked about the mindset with which India would approach the red-ball game, he replied.
Repling about the mindset with which India would approach the red-ball game, Rahul said –
“We will not go in with a set mindset. A certain venue has a history. You look at the numbers and you take some cues from that. Every season the demands of the team will be different so we will assess that. One thing is for sure. You are going to see a lot of attacking cricket from our side.”
India’s last match in red-ball cricket was the rescheduled Test against England in Birmingham in July. Despite dominating the game for the most part. They lost the contest by seven wickets.
