Ranji Trophy: Jaydev Unadkat created history, made this record in his name

Jaydev Unadkat record: The year 2022 ended on a grand note for India’s left arm fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat. He returned to Test cricket after 12 years. Unadkat got a chance to play in the Test match against Bangladesh.

The new year has also been great for Jaidev. He has started 2023 in a stormy way. Unadkat wreaked havoc in a Ranji Trophy match against Delhi.

Jaydev Unadkat became the first player to take a hat-trick in the very first over :-

Unadkat took a hat-trick in the very first over against Delhi playing for Saurashtra in Rajkot. He was wreaking havoc with the ball in such a way that he had five wickets in just two overs.

Till the time of writing the news, Unadkat has taken six wickets in the first innings. Delhi has scored 108 runs for eight wickets in 30 overs. Unadkat created history by taking a hat-trick in the first over. He has become the first player in Ranji history to take a hat-trick in the very first over.

Irfan Pathan did wonders in Karachi :-

Before Unadkat, Irfan Pathan of his own state Gujarat has done this in Test cricket. He took a hat-trick in the very first over against Pakistan. Irfan did wonders against Pakistan in Karachi in 2006. He dismissed Salman Butt on the fourth ball of the first over, Younis Khan on the fifth ball and Mohammad Yusuf Pathan on the sixth ball.
