Out of these 20 wickets have been taken by the fast bowlers. The game was stopped when the Punjab team was 18 for four in the second innings. He had achieved a lead of 30 runs in the match. Punjab had scored 162 runs in the first innings. At the same time, the Railway team was dismissed after scoring 150 runs in the first innings. Punjab got a lead of 12 runs in the first innings.

Punjab batsman Abhishek Sharma told news agency PTI, “I have never seen a wicket like this before in Ranji. The bounce was very unpredictable which made the pitch very unsafe. We have been told that the match will now be played on the new pitch.”

The decision to move the match to the new pitch was taken during the drinks break in the second session after lunch. On-field umpires Madangopal and Rajeev Godara discussed the matter with match referee Yuraj Singh and also with the two captains Mandeep Singh of Punjab and Karn Sharma of Railways.
