Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan has scored another century in Ranji Trophy. Four days after he was not selected in the Indian team, he gave a befitting reply to the selectors by scoring a century. This is Sarfaraz’s 13th century in first class.
Coach Amol greets Sarfaraz –
He has scored a hundred for the third time in the last seven. In this season of Ranji, he has scored more than 500 runs in eight innings. He was dismissed for 125 in the first innings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
When Sarfaraz completed his century, Mumbai coach Amol Mazumdar greeted him by taking off his cap. No one can better understand the pain of Sarfaraz not being selected in the team. People liked this style of Amol and it went viral on social media.
Sarfaraz was not selected for the two-Test series against BAN –
He scored 982 runs in six matches in Ranji Trophy 2021-22 at an average of 122.75. Then he had scored two centuries and four half-centuries. At the same time, in 2019-20, he scored 928 runs in six matches at an average of 154.66.

Two centuries and three half-centuries came out of Sarfaraz’s bat. Sarfaraz was also not selected for the two-Test series against Bangladesh last year. At the same time, Suryakumar was preferred for the Test against Australia.
